More Laundry.... Reveal Wheel!

I know worst blogger ever! lol but in my defense 2 puppies, 4 kids a husband and I'm a little nutty too so there are only so many hours in a day!

But let's to get to the fun of a card I felt deserved a post...  So quick backstory I saw lawn fawn do a reveal wheel last black friday 2017 with an UBER cute chameleon!  I could not wait to get my hands on it!!!  I found out through a You Tube comment that it was not going to be released until summer 2018.... waaaaaaahhh  So what's a girl to do? Shop all her other Lawn Fawn wish list till Mr. Chameleon becomes available.  Fast forward to Memorial Day weekend 2018 and guess what I saw??  Besides tons of sales (and of COURSE i have no money to spend now!!!) Mr. Chameleon is here along with a huge release from lawn fawn for an AMAZING reveal wheel!!!! Ahhhhhh soooo excited!  However,  waaaay back last year lolol like a whole 6 months ago when I originally saw Mr.Chameleon... I got the idea for a reveal wheel using Lawn Fawn's Loads of Fun stamp set... however after a loooooong wait from Simon Says Stamp lol almost 3 months!!! the horror!  I finally got my Loads of Fun set in right in time for the big release for the Lawn Fawn reveal wheel that i had NO idea was coming...(long exasperated sigh)  lol so I am super excited for my laundry reveal wheel done up with baby clothes from the Lawn Fawn Little Bundle set as I had since found out a friend was expecting and gave me further inspiration.... but I can't WAIT to get my hands on the new reveal wheel either!!!

Lawn Fawn "Little Bundle" Stamp Set
Ok i was in distress as I had no large scalloped circle dies! So what did I do? After I frantically searched my craft room I remembered my new Scan N Cut... just maaaaaybe

I would LOVE to hear your comments and feedback on this fun little creation!  It is fun to case cards but i absolutely LOVE when I have an original idea...well the wheel isn't but using it with the Loads of Fun set might be... till I check Pinterest out and find out there are a dozen more like mine anyway lololol

I'm also on Instagram @ChantelsStampingStudio and I post there most frequently lol this other technology is still a learning curve.... sooooomeday when the kids are all gone ha ha ha I might get to finally be more consistent, till then I get to live vicariously through my other artist friends and be happy when I get to post a little bit of "me".

Hello Sunshine!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
You know I have always appreciated sunflowers but I have never really loved them...not like the way I love roses anyway... but maybe that is because I have only ever seen them up close a handful of times in my life... I have never really seen a huge field of sunflowers other than in the movies etc...

Why do YOU love sunflowers?  Is it their size? Smell? Color? Shape?  I would love to know what draws you to them...

I once was having an awful, terrible, no good kind of day...and my sweet husband had just finished cleaning up a catering event at work and was offered some of the center pieces... do you know he came out to me with not 1 but 2! of these beautiful center pieces!!!  I lost in and couldn't stop crying because of how generous his gesture was.... ever since then I associate sunflowers with the kindness he showed me on that day... THAT is why I now LOVE sunflowers...

Below you will see my old buddy Lorenzo... I seriously cannot get enough of this guy!!! He just makes me feel happy and inspired!

Lo Siento...

So I have been playing with gold leaf foils and I have to say I think I have finally met my match in the crafting world... it has definitely been a challenge but I did find one technique that was easy and fun and I was happy with at the end and that was the technique I used on the card below...

What I did to create the gold leafing design was use fun stampers journey white liner tape...I simply layed the tape down across my card AFTER I had stamped my image and used pan pastels (check out my you tube video for more on using pan pastels) and then I proceeded to dump the gold leafs all over the exposed tape

I then pressed the gold foil leafing down and smooshed it into the tape as best I could and followed that up by using a stiffer paint brush to brush any excess off... this part was rather soothing for me and I loved seeing the design come to life!

If you would like to watch this technique in action check out the video below 😊

Will you marry me? Comic book style!

I guess I am in the Wedding mentality... lol we have had a few friends getting married here as of late so it is definitely on the brain... I am not normally into the comic strip look but I couldn't pass up the chance to use the August Bloom Box in a different way!  I love the results!

Pink and grey definitely seems to be a popular combo as I have had many of you comment on Instagram about it...  For more information on the products used to create this fun card or to get your very own Bloom Box subscription delivered right to your door...  please click on a link below or go to funstampersjourney.com/ChantelsStampingStudio

Lorenzo gets Married!

I love weddings don't you!?  The start of new love when everything is fresh and new... you have made an everlasting commitment to be there for that other person for the rest of your lives together and the knowledge that you will have your best friend to turn to in good times and bad...

Congratulations Lorenzo and Lola Llama ...
We wish you the best!

I used the "Congratulations" and the hearts on the Wedded Bliss ATS stamp set...(ask me how you can get this for FREE!)

I fussy cut the hearts out of this same ATS set and popped them up using our small foam squares...(links below)

I also used our sparkle silk which has an applicator tip similar to a nail polish brush and I "painted" the hearts to give more shine and a little interest...

The washi tape that was used on this adorable card was one of the $100 Bloom Benefit choices out of our current Amazing Fun Stampers Journey Catalog.... to learn more about the EXTRA Bloom Benefits you can receive when placing a qualifying order...contact me today!!!!

You color my world....

So I posted on Tuesday about how special you all are... and today I was looking at my card and thinking just how colorful our world really is... pretty cool!

This card was created using the technique I briefly discussed on Tuesday.  It is a technique where you...
1. Stamp your ink pads across your gel press... (do not allow your inks to touch!)
2. Use your brayer to roll back and forth and slightly side to side to blend your inks softly
3. Next ink up your world map stamp using the clear pigment ink
4. Stamp your image down onto the gel press over your freshly blended ink
5. Remove your stamp and take it DIRECTLY to your whip cream card front and stamp!  (The stamp will have lifted the color OFF the gel press allowing you to stamp immediately! Super cool right!?)
NOTE: This is how the card posted on Tuesday was created!
6. If you look closely at your gel press, you will see spot you stamped your world map...next take your card front (I prefer 4" x 5 1/4" myself) and lay your card front directly over the image
7. TIP: If you don't want to get too inky, use a sheet of thin copy paper and lay it now over top of your card front which should still be on your gel press!
8. Rub across the back of your card front being sure to rub along all the edges and corners
9. Remove your card front now and check out your super cool impression!!!! Awesome Sauce!
10.  Complete the rest of your card - I traced my sentiment onto my card stock in pencil, stamped it and then cut around the image I had traced to get this fun shape!

What do you think? Did you try it? I would love to hear all about it!!!

Your mean the world to me...

No really!  You do!  I don't care if I have 1 or 1 million, every reader is special to me because you have taken precious time out of your day to spend a few moments with me and I really sincerely appreciate it!

That said I have a super quick, super simple card today!

I saw a video done by Richard Garay, the co-founder of Fun Stamper's Journey and I wanted to try his technique.  I was a little wary at first but llama tell ya! it was easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

I used my gel press, brayer, a few ink pads and a simple card front to create this super cute card!

Inside I shared a simple sentiment, which allowed the front of the card to remain the focus of this card.  I also was able to create 2 cards out of this 1 technique!  Check back on Thursday to see the other fun card I created!  I listed the items below and am working on a You Tube video for this fun card so you all can see the technique and how it is created specifically.  I would love to hear from you!  Do you like watching videos or prefer photo tutorials?

Lorenzo Llama goes to Mexico! 3

Hello again stamping friends!

I will be starting a video series entitled "Where in the World is Lorenzo Llama" on my You Tube channel.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLQtthu8d4bHRS2oT4jjSOw/videos  I am hoping to do a monthly video so keep watch for where Lorenzo ends up next.  Why am I doing this particular series?  Well Lorenzo my name for this super adorable Llama pairs well with sooooo many stamp sets!!!   I am hoping that if you already have any of these sets in your stash you can be inspired to incorporate other Fun Stampers Journey stamp sets and maximize the use out of each of your purchases!!!

So today Lorenzo decided to visit our southern neighbors in Mexico to begin his trek around the world!  I tried to use bright, bold colors, the colors I have seen on the few occasions I have actually gotten to travel to Mexico.

Click on one of the products below for more information.
Don't forget to check back often for the video link and instructions on making this super cute card!

Please leave me a comment and say hello 😊

Lorenzo Llama visits Arizona! 2

Lorenzo Llama has headed to the desert as part of my "Where in the World is Llorenzo Llama?" YouTube video series...

This easy peasy card is a wonderful beginner's card as not to many tools are needed.  Although I did use my Platinum machine to die cut these elements, you can totally get away with using the detail pro shears listed in the link below to "fussy cut" or hand cut out the Llama and cactus.

Silks, Silks, and more  Silks!  As I have said in my videos and you will no doubt see many times in these blog posts "I LOVE SILKS!!!"  They are fast, fun, simple and a brilliant way to add color and texture to just about anything!  The color choices for this particular card are listed below but feel free to ask any questions.
