Taco Tuesday!

Images © Stampin' Up!
Photo and Card Design by Me! 😉

Ok I sooo stinking love this card!  I am looking at creating a few cards to sell maybe at our local Mexican Restaurant... I made this card a few months ago with our special preorder...seriously again can I say HOW EXCITED i am about this set Custom Tee that is in the current Occasions Catalog
pg. 30!  I have never been so inspired as I have with this set because of all the endless possibilities I see!  It so goes to show that we each are inspired by such different things...and apparently T-Shirts is my thing! Whoda thunk?

To create the Mexican inspired woman's shirt I used the Delicate Details border stamps (pg.9 of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure) on both the neck line and the shirt sleeves.  The taco and saying on the man's shirt comes from the Tasty Trucks set on pg.12 of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure!!!  How cute!  When you purcase $50 in product (prior to S&H and tax) you get to pick 1 item out of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure for FREE!  Yippee my favorite time of year!!!

To get your own FREE Sale-A-Bration Brochure please contact me and I will be most happy to help you reach your goal in getting your very own Sale-A-Bration item!

Don't wait this special sale ends on March 31, 2017!!!

Be still my heart...

So I've heard that saying "Be still my heart," before but I never remember quite what it means until my husband randomly walks into my studio and says, "Hey, can I make a card?"  (looooong swoon and pause for dramatic effect)  "Why of course!!! Sit right down and let's get you started..."  Tee hee my heart soars every time I think of it!  My husband received a card from my parents recently and was so touched he wanted to send one back instead of just calling them on the phone.... (I could faint!) Isn't he the sweetest?  Reminds me of when the girls used to swoon over elvis and the beatles.... aaaaaand now I have Beatles songs rambling around up there... lol  So yes I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator but yes as I was asked recently I do use other products out there ...(gasp! oh the horror.)  Yes! I'll admit it but if you read through my other posts I will say it time and time again...Stampin' Up! has THE BEST quality products so I rarely if ever will use any other paper than Stampin' Up! cardstock or adhesive...it's just not worth the effort and hassle to buy elsewhere and then pay for it later when it all is a big mess!  Forget it!!! Stampin' Up! all the way...but on occasion I do love some other designs not currently available and above my husband used a mish mash of a few companies....

Stampin' Up' for the "you always do for others and thanks so much along with the little "sending love" stamps

Everything else is Stampin' Up! the linen thread, the ink, the cardstock and the adhesive...just love me some SU!

Fun Stampers Journey who my lovely friend Cathy is a Journey Coach for... has the cute cactus which my husband chose for this card...

So my thought for the day.... create! anything, everything, something!  You CAN do it!!!
He started and finished this design completely on his own....so proud.... "Be still my heart!"

Step aside Water...

I know...I know... reach OUTSIDE my comfort zone.... leave beeeehiiind the coffee theme.... But I can't!  I just can't!  Look at her...she is gorgeous...headed out for a day of whatever...I would like to think shopping or an outing with a friend... Living with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and 4 boys...shopping is ...well... impossible!!!  Except for online...but even the monotony of that can wear on you after a while and takes all the fun out of it!  I will say the big BROWN truck that pays a visit always brightens any day!   LOL  What do you like best? Online shopping or in person?  and why?

"Oy with the poodles" or the questions... I got it...but I would love to get to know you...

Ok the card...

As always I am using Stampin' Up! cardstock in Whisper White, Basic Black, Island Indigo, and Sweet Sugarplum..the copics hold up nicely on SU's cardstock!  I used Memento Black Ink so I CAN use my copics... aaaaand I can clean the ink off with just water.  Due to my silly MCS my beautifully rich black archival ink pad, simply sits in my holder depressed and unused... Sigh...someday ... I digress as always...
I also used the SU's heart embossing folder and rhinestones...I have learned the hard way those "bargain" deal rhinestones do not most of the time hold up compared to Stampin' Up!'s quality...Never again is a deal worth the agony involved in fighting with rhinestones to stick or that turn yellow or look cheap...Nope Stampin' Up! is the way to go!
Last but not least...the stamps...
Altenew for the saying and
Unity Co.  Angie Blom's stunning designs for miss "Tricia Girl"!  Loooove her!

Thanks for the break from my kiddos and for stampin by....

Whew! This was DEFINITELY a challange for me!!!  I have not been terribly fond of Emeral Envy so I loooooved being pushed out of my comfort zone and am ecstatic with my little creation.... It's bold and bright, yet simple and gets the message across!  I used all Stampin' Up! products right down to my most favorite tool on the planet my Aqua Painters!!!!  I also whipped out my sequins which I have struggled to remember to use ...I am a perfectionist!  So that said...if I am creating my own original work I also challange myself not to look at anything else including Pinterest ....eeeeeeek for ideas!  For me this is Suuuuuuuper hard because I generally have a puppy and 4 boys to attend to so quiet design time is almost completely unheard of!  I know I pulled out of my memory bank somewhat the placement for those sequins but ....what's the rule?   All you designers out there, how do YOU decide how many sequins to use and how to place them on YOUR projects?  I have heard of the triangle rule and the rule of odds...past that... I got nothing.... care to share?

Thanks for stampin by today....

Bermuda Coffee Girl

So I am still new to all this Blogging stuff ... I know I keep saying that but ...come on' reeeeeally... I have a lot of respect for all you full time bloggers out there!  I'm working on it...but having once considered myself a "techy" and someone who used to be sought after for help all things computer...After all the Y2K years lolol I've given up and relished in the simple life of relative ignorance... So ...I guess it's time to get back to it!

I just looooooove this girl!  I combined Stampin' Up!'s Whisper White and Bermuda Bay Cardstock, with the cute saying from the ever popular "Something to Say" stamp set to create today's card!  Super simple ...easy peasy!
I also used the Coffee set from Penny Black and my all time favorites...Copic Markers... I still am holding out a desperate hope that Stampin' Up! WILL at some point be able to bring back their own blendabilities markers...I do often dream of them....

How about you?  What have you been working on today? I would love to hear about it!
